Who we are

This website is operated by Hudson & Noll Ltd (“we”, “us”), a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17324198), registered office 421a Roman Road, London, E3 5QS. We are the data controller for the personal data described here.

What we collect, and why

If you join our mailing list, we collect your email address (and your consent to email you). We use it for two things, and nothing else: to email you when pre-orders for our external roller blind open (plus occasional related launch updates), and to fill in the email question on a short survey we show you straight after you sign up, so your answers and your place on the list are one record rather than two we’d have to match up by hand.

The survey is optional. It opens after your address is already safely on the list, and closing it changes nothing — you stay subscribed either way, and we never chase you for it.

Our lawful basis

We rely on your consent (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(a)), which you give by submitting your email address through our signup form. What that consent covers is written next to the field before you press the button: the launch email, and the short survey that follows. You can withdraw it at any time (see Your rights).

Who else sees it

Two providers, for the two things above.

Your email is stored and processed by our email marketing provider, EmailOctopus (operated by Three Hearts Digital Ltd, a UK company), which stores subscriber data on servers in the EU (Ireland, on Amazon Web Services) — within the EEA. EmailOctopus processes your data only on our instructions, to send you the emails described above.

The survey runs on Formbricks, which stores data on servers in the EU (Germany) — also within the EEA. It opens in a window on this page once you’ve signed up, and your email address is passed to it, so we can match your answers back to your place on the list rather than having to ask you for it again. Nothing is sent to Formbricks, and nothing of theirs loads, unless you sign up — if you just read the site and leave, they never hear about you at all.

We don’t sell your data, we don’t use it for advertising, and we don’t share it with anyone beyond the two providers named here.

How long we keep it

Until you unsubscribe, or until 12 months after launch if you haven’t engaged — whichever is sooner — after which we delete it. Every email we send includes a one-click unsubscribe link.

Cookies and analytics

We use privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics (Cloudflare Web Analytics) to count visits. We set no tracking or advertising cookies, so there’s no cookie banner to click through.

Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct or delete your data, or withdraw consent, at any time — email [email protected] or use the unsubscribe link in any email. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).

Changes

If we change this notice we’ll update the date above.
